Jen Kunka is a Mayo Clinic Certified Wellness Coach

A wellness coach is not a medical professional and will not give you advice. They will, however, help you define what wellness means to you and help connect your values and strengths with a vision for a healthy future. Wellness coaching provides accompaniment and support as you work toward health goals and grow in your ability to make lasting change.

Wellness coaches employ Motivational Interviewing, Growth Mindset, Social Cognitive Theory and creation of a Wellness Vision to help clients find their own pathway to health.

What is Wellness Coaching?

“Health & wellness coaches partner with clients looking to enhance their well-being through self-directed lasting changes, aligned with their values. In the course of their work, health & wellness coaches display unconditional positive regard for their clients and a belief in their ability to change, honoring the fact that each client is an expert on their own life while ensuring that all interactions are respectful and non-judgmental” (NBHWC, n.d.).
